Mars week panel

MARS WEEK 2022

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

As part of the Mars Day 2022 mission thousands had the chance to explore Mars – and beyond – during the whole week.

An array of Space and STEM partners offered out-of-this-world live and virtual events during Mars Week for schools and the public.

A-Mars-ing events included activities with Space and STEM experts; workshops at science centres and beyond; talks and lectures from universities and societies; stargazing with space groups and virtual visits to space agencies.

.

MARS WEEK 2023

Our next mission to Mars (Day) will star another week of exploration and activities.

Keep looking up – or follow ESERO-UK on Twitter (@ESERO_UK) and Facebook (@ESEROUK) – for the launch of the exact dates.

Then you can start planning your own mission to Mars next year!

Partners and events

See the stellar range below of Mars Week 2022 partners and events – some were for schools, some for everyone!

As part of the Mars Week flight plan, we hosted the first LAND ON A LECTURE series of lectures with university experts at the cutting edge of space research.Throughout the week you could beam in to live online talks from your classroom or living room.

Talks included topics ranging from the weather on Mars to figuring out how we might send 20 metre long drills to the Red Planet; from training rovers to spotting meteorites from the asteroid belt on the planet’s surface.
